Northampton Youth Lacrosse

About Northampton Girls Youth Lacrosse

The Northampton Youth Lacrosse League was founded in the spring of 2001, and competes in the Connecticut River Valley Girl's Lacrosse League, as well as weekend tournaments and an end-of-season league championship.

The mission of the Northampton Youth Girls Lacrosse is to:

• increase participation in the game of lacrosse by providing a safe and enjoyable learning environment for young women to play
  
• strengthen local athletic programs through early player identification, development, and encouragement
  
• and contribute to the growth and development of healthy, well-rounded women.

It is the policy of the Northampton Girl's Youth Lacrosse Teams that all players who attend practice are given a opportunity to play in games.

Honor the Game

We participate in the Postive Coaching Alliance 'Honor the Game' philosophy. Honoring the Game goes to the "ROOTS" of positive play. Each letter in ROOTS stands for an important part of the game that we as lacrosse players and coaches respect. The R stands for Rules. The first O is for Opponents. The next O is for Officials. T is for Teammates, and the S is for Self.
