For our 5/6th and 7/8th grade teams in 2009, play begins indoors the
week after February vacation (2/23). We typically practice in one of
the elementary school gyms 1 night a week. As soon as we can get
outdoors, likely first week in April, we begin practice 3 nights a
week. Competitive play begins the week after April vacation. We are a
part of the Connecticut River Valley Lacrosse League which encompasses
several Western Mass and Northern CT teams. Please view the 2008
schedule below as a reference for games. For 3/4th graders – play will
not begin until outdoor fields are available – usually early April on
Sundays.
During the competitive season, games and practices typically are
scheduled 3 days per week – so keep in mind the level of commitment
that needs to be made. It will be difficult to play 2 sports and make
our lacrosse dates. 100% commitment is encouraged and necessary for
developing a sound program.
